Nisa-Today’s Members Celebrate Success At Awards

Nisa-Today’s members celebrated success last month at several different award ceremonies. Three Nisa Symbol stores triumphed at the Independent Achievers Academy (IAA) awards, while members also experienced success at the Asian Trader awards, and the FWD Gold Medal Awards.

At the IAA awards, which took place on the 19th November at the Banqueting House in Whitehall, London, Armin Ahematagic, manager of the Nisa Local, in Houghton Regis, won the Award for Merchandising, while Harry Goraya’s Nisa Local, Northfleet, Kent picked up the Award for Effective Ranging.  Rav Garcha’s Gains Park store had great success at the awards by not only winning the Award for Marketing to Customers but the also the prestigious Award for Overall Best Shop.

At the Asian Trader awards, which were held on the 3rd November at the Grosvenor Hotel, London, Rav Garcha’s Nisa Local picked up the accolade for the Asian Trader Category Champion Award, while Dhamecha Cash & Carry won the Asian Trader Wholesaler of the Year Award.

John Heagney, Nisa-Today’s Group Symbol Director commented, “I am delighted that the Nisa Symbol stores have been recognised at the IAA Awards and the Asian Tradaer awards for their excellent businesses. It really is a testament to all the hard work and dedication of the Nisa members and their staff.”

Receiving these awards and being recognised for all the incredible work the employees do really drives staff motivation.”

Brian Yip of Today’s Group member, Wing Yip, was recognised for his commitment and development to the wholesale sector after being named Young Wholesaler of the Year at the FWD Gold Medal Awards that took place on the 26th November in The Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Gardens.
