Nisa-Today’s Further Strengthens its Board

Nisa-Today’s
has further strengthened its Holdings Board at its Annual General Meeting (AGM)
which was held at 6pm on Wednesday 25th November at Forest Pines Hotel in
Broughton, North Lincolnshire.
Six
candidates were nominated for election at the AGM for the four places which
were available on the Board. Joginder
Singh, director of Michael Supermarket and Mark Windebank, managing director of Savage & Whitten, were
both re-elected to the Board after having to stand for re-election in
accordance with the Articles of Association. Simon Hannah director of J W Filshill and Kishor Patel, managing director of Luton-based company Houghton
Trading Ltd are the two new members who were appointed to join the Nisa-Today’s
Board.
Mark
Pullen, independent non-executive chairman, commented, “Member directors are
extremely important in the development of Nisa-Today’s and the group has voted in
four members who are really passionate about the company and its value and
success. The Board is lucky to have like-minded members all of whom are
committed to the company.”
Kishor
Patel, newly appointed Board member commented, “I am delighted to be elected to
the Board of Nisa-Today’s and the support I received from shareholders has been
exceptional. I believe that with the vast experience, knowledge and passion I
have for the company and the independent retail sector, I will fit well on the
Board and help drive member profitability.”
The
reappointed and newly appointed member directors will join the existing Board
members of: Mark Pullen, independent non-executive chairman; Stephen Jempson,
acting deputy chairman; Colin Graves; Peter Bellini; Rowan Black; Raj
Chatha; Manish Dhamecha, Paul Delves; Mohammad Saleem; Sucha Singh, Jas Sunner;
Chris Futter; independent non-executive director Ian Black; Nisa-Today’s
executives Neil Turton, John Schofield, John Sharpe, and Bill Laird.
