Nisa-Today’s Opens Former Mercedes Dealership as Flagship Nisa Extra
12/11/2007

On Saturday 10th November, Nisa-Today’s unveiled a new flagship Nisa Extra store in Pentwyn, Cardiff, a former Mercedes Benz dealership converted into a contemporary convenience store.
The 16,000 sq ft glass-fronted store features eye-catching exterior graphics and modern, impactful interior signage. It comprises over 70m of refrigeration for chilled food and drinks, 14m of full height frozen food cabinets, an extensive grocery range and the UK’s third Café Nisa. Plans are also in place to incorporate a pharmacy within the store in the near future.
John Heagney, Nisa Symbol Group director said, “This has been one of our most challenging and exciting refits to date, with such a large expanse of floor and wall area to develop. We have worked very closely with Michael Johnson, the store owner, to create a store which sets the standard for independent Symbol retailing and makes a memorable and positive impact on his customer base. We are all absolutely delighted with the results.”
Michael Johnson added, “One of the beauties of this store is that it has the feel of a very large supermarket, but as an independent, we’re able to provide the bespoke, friendly service that our customers would expect of their local convenience store. We hope that the modern look of the store and the extensive product range we have incorporated within it, will appeal to a wide customer base and look forward to adding value to the local community.”
