Nisa Strong on Recruitment.
04/05/2010

Nisa-Today’s has demonstrated resilience and growth during the last financial year, recently breaking through its planned case delivery level and exceeding its budgeted £1.3billion turnover for the year (April 09/10). Recent figures show that it has also proved successful in its recruitment campaign, welcoming 169 new members and 419 new stores during that period.
Andrew J. Mouse, group sales director at Nisa, said: “We are delighted to have welcomed 169 new members into the Nisa membership during the financial year 2009/2010. This, along with existing members increasing their current portfolios, has helped us to boost our store numbers by 419 in the past year. We always look forward to welcoming more stores into our membership.”
Recruitment has also brought larger stores into the group’s membership with the recent sale of the Co-op/Somerfield stores resulting in 37 new supermarket sized retailers seeking to benefit from the Nisa business model. A number of existing members also took advantage of the available supermarket sites to expand their operations, further adding to the Nisa membership portfolio.
The Nisa Symbol Group is also contributing to that growth recruiting 126 new symbol stores since April 2009 and converting 88 existing store members from the old blue fascia to the new white one. There are now 669 stores trading under the Nisa Symbol Group fascia, 237 of which are trading under the new white Store of the Future fascia. In addition there are currently 74 stores in the pipeline.
