Nisa-Today's makes new appointments

03/03/2008

Nisa-Today’s has restructured its trading department in an exercise intended to drive business, strengthen the current management team and improve the overall experience for its members.

The restructuring exercise will see the creation of five key business trading units with responsibility for each area falling to a trading manager. In a move which sees the existing management team grow, Nigel Ashton and Asa Chamberlain have been appointed as trading managers, to head up two of the five newly allocated business trading units, across ambient, chilled and frozen.

Asa Chamberlain and Nigel Ashton, will take on the additional management responsibilities with Nisa and join existing trading managers Paul Batchelor, David Stokes and Nick Slater.

Following the restructuring, changes within the Today’s Group see Steve Dixon become trading controller for the Foodservice category from Monday 25th February. Steve has enjoyed success as Nisa Chill and Freeze trading controller, but is looking forward to the new challenge with the group’s wholesale business.

Steve will be joined at the Today’s Group by new appointment David Sabin, who arrives at the company to replace Steve Hodson, who recently became local sourcing manager for Nisa-Today’s. David joins as grocery trading controller having previously held a similar role with Batley Wholesale Ltd.

These appointments follow the recent appointment of John Haigh, who will act as the company secretary to the Board of Nisa-Today’s (Holdings) Limited, and solicitor and counsel to the company, providing advice to the Board and executives.
