Nisa Goes For Gold
30/06/2009

Following on from the success of its New Era Trading Terms (NETT), which has paid out over £10million to members since its inception and over £1.3million in the financial quarter ending April 2009, Nisa will launch the second phase in its successful NETT scheme this July in a move designed to aid its members through the recession and provide them with the potential for greater rewards, extensive trading benefits and added value from their Nisa-Today’s membership.
Since the original NETT concept was launched it has always been the intention of Nisa to launch a second phase to the scheme and New Era Gold is the next logical step in its progression. New Era Gold, which like NETT is an entirely voluntary scheme, will reward retailers who can commit to fulfilling all of the requirements outlined with further rebates, helping members gain more benefits during the current economic downturn.
New Era Gold will take its place alongside NETT and will be specifically for those existing NETT members who could guarantee 100% compliance with every aspect of the scheme, including extended core range, support for new product promotions and of the Nisa consumer leaflet.
Whilst historically core ranges have been segregated by store type, through the new scheme these will now also be ranged by store size, meaning elements of the scheme can be more accurately targeted to further increase the relevance of the trading package and benefits for each participating member.
“NETT has been the greatest catalyst for growth at Nisa-Today’s for the past three years. It generates substantial rebates, drives instore sales – providing a core range that customers want to buy – and increases efficiency through Central Distribution – it really is a win-win situation,” said John Sharpe, managing director of Central Distribution Trading & Logistics at Nisa-Today’s. “NETT provides members with the opportunity to earn a rebate of 1.5%, and for New Era Gold members there’s an additional 1% on selected ranges. Both have been of great assistance in helping the Nisa trading team to work more closely with our supplier partners, ensuring that we offer the most appropriate category advice and core ranges for our members trading needs.”
