New Promotional Campaign to Celebrate Rebranding

Thirteen Nisa Local stores based in Luton and surrounding areas embarked on a three week promotional campaign following the stores rebrand to the new white Nisa Local fascia. The move brings the number of Symbol Group stores who are displaying the new white fascia to over 170, while there is a total of 640 Symbol Group stores overall.

The campaign allowed each store to offer additional promotions on top name brands such as Walls and PG Tips. To support these promotions all thirteen stores benefited from a radio advertising campaign on, Heart 97.6, as well as a feature in the Luton and Dunstable Express newspaper.

The Luton stores’ promotional activity coincided with Nisa’s national advertising campaign that featured in The Sun Newspaper last week. Nisa commenced its consumer advertising in October 2009 and will develop this further in 2010 by running its first national TV advertising campaign.

Sam Oxley-Powell, Nisa Symbol marketing support manager, commented, “We began rolling out our new white ‘Store of the Future’ fascia at the start of 2009, following excellent trade and consumer reactions. We are planning numerous support packages during 2010 for our new fascia stores all over the UK, including local radio and press features as well as plenty of instore activities. This will help raise awareness of what Nisa stores offer to consumers – value for money and a local, friendly service. The localised campaigns will culminate in a burst of national TV advertising towards the end of 2010.”
