- In 2009, Nisa-Today's joined the Food Chain Emergency Liaison Group. The Group was established to bring together a broad constituency of key representatives from the food and grocery industry, Government, trade bodies and relevant agencies to discuss and act upon crisis management issues. It is a communications hub for the food and grocery industry on crisis matters and has provided information to Government and the Security Services. The network of company crisis management experts is on standby to liaise in the event of a major emergency.
- In March 2009, Nisa-Today's became a signatory to the Government's new Prompt Payment Code in partnership with the Institute of Credit Management. The Code has been devised to tackle the crucial issue of late payment and help small businesses in the current economic climate.
- In 2009, Nisa-Today's is participating in an allergy awareness campaign by the Food Standards Agency
(FSA). The campaign involves disseminating FSA information on allergens to its retail and wholesale members through its various communications channels and requesting their feedback on content, usability and usefulness, for the FSA to define future campaigns.
- Nisa-Today’s spent considerable time in mid-2007 and 2008 participating in the Competition Commission Grocery Market Inquiry, working closely with the
Association of Convenience Stores (ACS).
- The company is a partner of the Retail of Alcohol Standards Group (RASG) – a Home Office, Department of Culture, Media and Sport and Department of Health-supported group of key retail organisations, collaborating to reduce sales of alcohol to minors.
- Nisa-Today's is a member of the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform's (BERR) Virtual Retail Policy Forum. The forum comprises UK retailers, retail trade associations and those with a professional interest in retailing, and members are made aware of UK Government and EU policies and regulations affecting the retail sector at an early stage.
- The group has a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Skillsmart Retail, to work collaboratively in the development of skills and qualifications within Nisa-Today's retail membership.
- Nisa-Today’s chief executive officer, Neil Turton, is a Business Ambassador for Yorkshire and the Humber which involves promoting inward investment and business in the region.
- Becky Campbell, Nisa-Today's head of Communications and Corporate Affairs, is a member of the World Trade Centre Hull & Humber Advisory Board (WTCHH) and the Humber Economic Partnership. Both organisations are dedicated to promoting the region as a prime business location, creating international trade opportunities, boosting the economy and enhancing skills in the area.
